Dramatic December
The Supreme Court verdict is out and a gay or a lesbian in India is now a bigger criminal than a "minor" rapist. What happens behind a closed door is more important than what happens on the street or a bus. What a person does in his/her bedroom is now of national importance. Way to go India!
December
so far has been quite eventful and dramatic. Probably more has happened during
this time than the first 11 months combined. Death of Paul Walker and Nelson
Mandela, AAP's MASSIVE DEBUT, Indian Cricket team losing miserably VS South
Africa and of course Section 377.
It
is still tough to digest the news of Paul Walker's death. And even more
tough to think about the next Fast and Furious movie without him. Paul Walker,
Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel and Jason Statham in one movie! How insanely awesome
this would have been? How tough it must have been for his family to bury him at
40.
But
some people die months before they actually die. 6 days later it was Nelson
Mandela. Spent 27 years behind the bars, changed a country and changed the way
people looked at a country. On a lighter note, had it not been for Nelson Mandela, Dale Steyn
would have never played International Cricket.
"I detest racialism, because I regard it as a barbaric thing, whether it comes from a black man or a white man." - Nelson Mandela
AAM
AADMI PARTY!
I
did not expect them to start off like this. But they changed it all. They changed a common man's attitude from "Yeh
country ka kuch nahi hone wala" to "There is still some HOPE!" In the next ten
years, they may or may not survive. That is a different thing. But this success
will inspire more and more people to stand up for what they feel is right. This
probably was the only positive thing to have happened this month.
