To attack or not to attack

Another deplorable performance by United last Saturday. A home defeat to Southampton. I still don't understand how the Tree gets to play every week. With him in the team, its more like a 10 vs 12 game. Without him, we look more creative, the ball keeps rolling in the right directions. With him in the team, we look far away from scoring, but better at defending set-pieces.

Rule 1: Don't let the opposition score.
Rule 2: Try and score a lucky winner, if possible.
                                Rule 3: Find Fellaini.

So that is Louis van Gaal's philosophy in a nutshell. But it seems like the players are in a conflict- whether to play the United way or the LvG way. Because they are doing neither. Its horrifying to see Smalling play along side the forwards (not sure if I can use this word anymore) after 70 minutes, attempting to create something. Too bad we can't play Liverpool every week. Last win was ugly though. LvG's record against them is the only thing he can brag about.

One of these days I'm going find something better to do during these games, something happy, something interesting..

Who am I kidding. That's not going to happen. I'll continue watch this boring football, and rant about this old stubborn fraud.

Happy to see Valdes go to a new team. Big big achievements. Deserved better treatment.
