The Match Winner

"You either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain" - The Dark Knight
There are men like Jonathan Trott who go on a sabbatical out of nowhere. There are men like Yuvraj Singh who, despite cancer, hang on. And, there are these plastic fans who should stop watching Cricket. He has never scored more than 150 in ODI's, but he has probably won more matches for us than any other player this decade. Its funny how Indians (read hypocrites) start making these stupid jokes when a player fails. Almost as if these people want India to lose to target the "scapegoat".

He is one of the best finishers, one of the best fielders and a very effective bowler and was India's best player in 2007 and 2011 World Cup triumphs. Cannot imagine how India would have fared minus Yuvraj. Two wickets and 57 runs vs Australia in the second qualifier in 2011 is the perfect testament to summarize his entire career. Tendulkar and Gavaskar did not win the two World Cups for us. Yuvraj Singh and Mohinder Amarnath did. Clearly he was feeling awful after the match yesterday, and those disgusting tweets must have made it worse for him.  What makes you think you can judge him ? He is a legend.

Some people said, "Itne balls waste karne se achha khud hi out kar leta khud ko.. and blah blah". Had he done that, the same people would have said, "How can he throw his wicket away in such an important game?" After the disastrous 2007 ODI World Cup, he gave us the most memorable World Cup over a few months later. How many people in this team have actually hit six sixes in an over. And how many players can score a 50, get a couple of wickets and save 20 odd runs on the field in one match ? Yeah, right. NO ONE.

There were jokes on Ishant Sharma and some other players too. Obviously they did not deserve this, but you just can't compare them with Yuvraj Singh. They haven't achieved even half of what Yuvraj has. He is in a different league. If you can't respect him, you should stop watching Cricket.

10 years from now when we list down the all-time XI, his name will be there, along with Dhoni as the best finishers ever.
